
The British-Bulgarian Friendship Society was established in 1952. It is a non-political organisation which aims to promote friendship, understanding and cultural relations between the people of Britain and Bulgaria.
The Society runs special interest tours for ornithology, natural history, sightseeing and folklore.
It also:
publishes a newsletter three/four times a year
can provide information on aspects of life in Bulgaria
organises occasional prestige lectures on some aspect of Bulgarian/British relations
maintains this website.

The British-Bulgarian Friendship Society runs regular birdwatching and natural history tours to Bulgaria, as well as sightseeing, wine, folklore and other special interest tours. Profits from the tours are used to assist Bulgarian students studying in the UK and a variety of conservation projects in Bulgaria as described here.
