Bursary Scheme
The Society is offering a limited number of bursaries of up to £300 (three hundred pounds) each to Bulgarian students at UK universities and colleges. Applicants are only eligible for one bursary
The money is intended for the purchase of books or other study materials, or for a study visit required by, or relevant to, your course. Receipts will be required.
Applications can be made by letter or on a form, obtainable from the Secretary, or downloaded from our website.
Letters should give details of the use to which the bursary will be put. A letter of recommendation is required from a current or recent tutor or lecturer, together with confirmation that the applicant is currently attending a course at a UK university or college.
It is not necessary to submit details of the applicant’s financial circumstances, though we hope that students with adequate funds will not apply for the limited number of bursaries.
Applications can be made at any time. The committee awarding bursaries meets regularly and can make decisions quickly providing the full documentation is sent.
