Note About Flights
All 2010 BBFS Tours are by air and as such are ATOL licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority for your financial protection and peace of mind.
Balkania Travel Ltd, have ATOL 4465 and IATA number 91-2 7839. Our IATA accreditation gives us access to the best consolidated air fares anywhere in the world on any airline.
Our prices are inclusive of return flights and all the land arrangements described in the tour leaflet. We normally use direct day-time scheduled flights by national carriers such as British Airways and Bulgaria Air from Heathrow to Sofia and Gatwick to Varna. You get a seat number on check-in, meals and drinks during the flight and the baggage allowance you are used to, without being asked to pay anything extra for those basic international flight comforts. If, for scheduling reasons, we sometimes use any of the so called “low cost” airlines, we will book “priority boarding” for you and extra checked-in baggage allowance to the usual 20 kgs.
Should clients in some cases wish to arrange their own flights or join our tour from Bulgaria, we shall be happy to quote without our costed air fare. They must arrange to join the group either on arrival at the airport or at the first hotel and we shall provide its address and contact details to help them get there at the right place and the right time.
Clients should note that if they book their own flights they are not buying an air package from us and will therefore not come under the financial protection of Balkania Travel’s ATOL bonding. We advise you in such cases to seek information about what protection other airlines and operators you intend to use, will offer you.
